SOURCE: Water under driver side floor

It may be due to the air conditioning hose being blocked. Therefore the water must be backing up into the vehicle, under the carpets and into the back seats instead of flowing out

SOURCE: Water leak on driver's side - 2000 Mitsubishi Galant

I was a manager at a Mitsubishi dealership.

There was a "secret warranty" on certain Galants where the firewall seam would fair and leak water into the interior. Call your local dealer to see if your vin qualifies. The fix is to simply reseal the firewall crimp seam with silicone sealant.

Alternatively, sunroof equipped cars sometimes get the drain channels clogged in time. Make sure to clean drain holes and use forced air if necessary.

Lastly, some cars have heaters with pollen filters. If those filters become clogged, condensation can accumulate and overflow into the interior.

If any of these solves your issue, please rate my answer

SOURCE: 2001, rain water comes onto the passenger side

Are you sure it's rain water and not coolant? Coolant would have a distinct smell.

Does the car have a sunroof? The drainage tubes on sunroofs can get stopped up and allow water to enter the car.

Why would my floor board on the drivers side have a puddle of water? I did just replace a heater core. i thought that would solve the problem.

So you're saying you replaced the heater core because water was puddling on the driver's side, but water is still puddling on the driver's side? I'm assuming you're in the US and the driver's side is on the left and the heater core is on the right side.
Do you get much rain where you live? Is the vehicle parked outside? Do you notice the puddling more often after a rain? If this is the case, your water intrusion may be because of a leaking seal around the windshield or door. Check by getting the floor reasonably dry, and then have someone sit inside while another floods your car with a garden hose - specifically the windshield and driver's door. Have the inside observer try to catch a stream of water along the edge of the windshield, along the door jam, or along the door sill.

Where should I look for rain water leak?

Most water leaks come from around the windshield area. Has the windshield been replaces recently? If so it may not be sealed properly. Another area where water may penetrate is through the cowling area under the wiper blades/arm where fresh air enters the car. There are water drains under this cowling allowing water to drain and if they are plugged with leaves/debris, water will enter the vehicle. Is the vehicle rusted around the windshield area? If so, suspect this to be the source of water intrusion. Most glass/windshield repair companies will diagnose water intrusion problems

Water leak drivers side

If it happens when you run the A/C It could be that your A/C drain is clogged and draining to the inside of the car. If it happens while running the heat your heater core could be leaking, but that's usually on the passenger's side and you could smell the antifreeze inside the car, unless you have water in the radiator instead. Other than that inspect your door and windshield seals.

Have you been adding a little more antifreeze recently if so check the floor on the pass. side,if it is wet your heater core is leaking. That will also cause the excess moisture on the inside mostly on the winshield.

Major water leak when it rains, water runs down driver side floor

Keep looking by covering area at hood etc and running water on the vehicle to locate where it is coming in---Windshield?

This is the best way if you cannot trace the stains from water to source.

2006 mustang water leaking rear floor

Hi , Its leaking water on the passenger rear floor? It could be the heater core leaking and running down the floor board to the rear of the vehical. Do you smell antifreez or see moisture build up on the windshield ? does the car seem more "humid" inside?

What would make my windshield frost up from the inside--I park in the garage at night and during the day while I'm at work the windshield frosts up from the inside so I have to scrape it

Moisture inside the vehicle. If you have a water leak that is allowing water to get into the car it will cause this problem. Also if the A/C water drain is plugged and there is water standing in the blower fan area you will have the same problem.
Pull your carpet back on the driver and passenger side at the fire wall and check for moisture, if the carpet backing is dry on both sides you will want to check the drain under the hood.
Good luck.
