2005 chrysler pacifica my alarm keeps going off at random times while parked I unlocked it then locked it back only for it to begin beeping again after two hours, what can it be?

What kind of shape is the battery in? Those alarms are very integrated and have a lot of parts. If the battery is getting low, it may be triggering the alarm. Since it appears to be happening at about 2 hours, some other things to look at would be the temperature causing a door expansion etc. If it is an OEM installation then a scan tool would be able to see any problems.

I have a Taurus 2004, and it happens that the car horn beeps 3 times randomly. does anyone know what would it may be?

the horn beeping at random is indicating a fault in the alarm system. alarms have their own battery which is balanced by the car battery and any unbalance ( corroded connections -bad earth, low charged battery in alarm, loose battery connections ) will cause the horn to sound --same as too sensitive a setting for the alarm or a intermittent power to the alarm

power sounder battery has a fault, first sign its faulty is randomly going off, were the sounder is you need to remove it, and replace it, or you can try to replace the battery inside, you can remove it and alarm will revert to a horn on some models that have a horn fitted but the wiring is in there for a horn to be fitted.

The short in my system was back behind the spare tire....There is a problem with water getting connections wet...Cleaned,dried it up replaced the grease, and fixed the leaks....Mine was a communication error, was shutting down bright lights, wipers, door locks,a/c,killing the battery and setting off the alarm. It's fine now.

My alarm keeps going off randomly during the day. I need some solutions

Hello, Shorted Batteries can cause this problem. You need to have the battery tested. If you have an add on Alarm, some have motion sensors that are too sensitive.

If you have Air suspension on the car, the pump may be going off to keep the car level. When this happens, you have a leak somewhere in the Air suspension system.

2007 Sonata car alarm(security alarm) randomly goes off--it's happened when it's locked and unlocked and all times of the day. The Keyfob stopped working about 3 weeks ago and then randomly worked now and...

over sensitive sensor in the car could set it off randomly... bonnet boot, door handles.. one of the motion sensor thingiis, if fitted. the beeper issue could be the position of the incoming sensor of the alarm it self.. if it is an imboliser as well then there is whole other range of issue.. turn it off or at least disconnect the siren.. or you could just pay some one way too money to fix the problem for ya... good luck

Hi. I have had a Black Ford Escort R Reg 1.6 SI for two years now, however in the last six months I have had a recurring problem where the car's alarm seems to keep going off at random. There doesn't...

Sometime a weak battery or a battery that is going weak will do this. What happens is as the car is dormat the small voltage used to keep ECU alive drops and triggers a voltage drop to alarm( like it should for unauthorized entry).

Car Alarm keeps going off on 528i (1999)

I had a similar problem, 2003 530i, but only while the alarm was active. The culprit was a bad hood switch that was making intermitent connection.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee alarm keeps randomly going off.

this happened to me recently with my 96 grand cherokee. the battery got drained by the alarm going off randomly at night. i pulled the fuse for the horn so at least my neighbors would only be bothered by flashing lights. then i couldn't jump the car because the alarm was still going off. i hooked my car to jump it to another car, and then i had to deactivate the alarm first by putting my key in the driver side door and unlocking the car. then i left it hooked to another car and still getting power but didn't jump it for at least 5 minutes in case the computer needed to reset. then it jumped fine. from what i've read online, this is a common problem that can be avoided if you stop using the power locks and always manually lock and unlock the doors with your key. its a little annoying, but apparently the power locks are connected to the alarm issue. hope the same works for you.
