fob is the key you have it has open and close on it if the battery is low .your immobilizer will not see it.

SOURCE: 2000 lincoln ls random starting

A Lincoln mechanic says "I have seen a lot of the ADVANCE TRAC lights staying on, its a common problem(It happened on my LS). 99% of the time you just need to have the computer reflashed. This must be done by the dealer and it is usually about an hours worth of labor, so around 90 bucks depending on the dealer. This will fix all concerns"

Forget the four coils. That is a common problem, but I would question 4 failing.
The ABS ,Parking Brake,Speedo Etc,where nothing to worry about, you were loosing power, when it went to fail safe,so they came up.

ETC -is Electronic Throttle Control, your problem? Maybe
You will need to have a scanner put on it's,daignostic connector under the dash,to check for codes. Them only a trained technician can follow a chart or test proceedure to properly repair.
I have a 2004 LS,one of Ford most high tech and complicated vehicles.
Conclusion: only a professional can repair you car.
I would start with a local shop. If money you have money to throw away,go to a dealer.
Most likely have to wave to it on a flat bed carrier. Don't flat tow it.

SOURCE: When car sits for 3-4 days, battery goes down.

You either have a battery that is giving out on you or something is draining the battery when it stands for a while. Have the battery tested first . If that checks out ok then you will have to check for the electrical leakage in your system.

Disable theft mode on 2004 chevy impala

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

I have a 2004 lincoln ls the car drove good i parked it one day and it sat for like 2 months when i went to start it nothing happened i put a new battery in it and all it does is the dash lights come on...

Need to check all the battery cable connections to ensure they are clean and tight. If this does not solve the issue, the starter may be bad. Have someone try to start the car while you tap on starter with a hammer. Sometimes, that will free up the starter drive and start the car. Tap firmly, but not with excessive force.

Our 2001 lincoln ls was running fine, then all of a sudden now it wont start. we have replaced the battery, and everything else turns on, it is just hard to turn the key and it wont start--and it was all...

I would love to answer this question but I am having the same issue. I have a 2000 LS with the V8..replaced the battery about 2 weeks ago and last night I went to go home and it won't start. All the bells ring when I turn the key but when I turn to the right to "start" position, nothing. No clicking, no noise at all. I called the Lincoln dealership and we went over the alarm light "not flashing" and shifter position. They have no advice other than "tow it in".
The vehicle had been running fine.

Starting problem

Look at top center of dash when you turn key to on position look for a red light, if light blinks fast you have a problem with your antitheft system if it goes off in 3 seconds it is ok. If blinking fast you may have a bad key or unprogrammed key or another problem in that system. It would be best to take it to a dealer to have it looked at.

My car is stalling to start. If I just hold the key, it will eventually catch and go ahead and crank. I've changed the crank sensor. Fuel pump is good. Any other ideas?

Check engine light on,parked car for 2 weeks.tried to start it would not.checked starter and it is good.turns over at starter with screwdriver but wont crank.will not turn over at ignition switch.can...

Could be a few different things , check engine light likely has nothing to do with your problem.
1st thing to check is that the car in in PARK , it won't start if it isn't. Could be dirty contacts in the key ingition. ( where you put the key ) , car might have a fuse for the ignition , my neon did.
Damaged triger wire (the small one) at the solenoid. Good luck
