Our 1997 audi a6 wont start in the begining you had to wait for seatbelt and check engine lights to go off then it would start now waiting for lights to go off will not crank but has power headlights etc...

Just because the headlight work doesn't mean the battery is good enough to crank the engine, that takes 150"s of amps or more. Bottom line have the battery tested by a local parts store, it is free.

Dodge caravan 1996 doesnt start

It is very hard to help you when you give no details. But if it doesn't do anything when you try to start it you probably need to charge battery or get new one. If it is trying to start and doesn't sound weak then you need to have someone look at it. It doesn't sound like you would want to do anything yourself but if its not the battery, it doesn't sound good. Good luck

05 grand cherokee wont start .full power lights dont dim when cranking then it starts like nothings wrong. i tried jump starting it then i climbed under it and hit the starter and it started

If the starter motor spins at high speed, but doesn't turn the engine until you whack it, the starter gear is not engaging the flywheel. Probably the engagement fork or the starter gear is worn out or sticky, or the solenoid isn't pushing it far enough.

If air conditioner system not working cause 1999 Mazda 626 2.0L to overheat

No this wont cause an overheat problem. Check the coolant level , check to see if the fans come on after it heats up. when the car is warming up you can check the thermostat, by touching the top radiator hose, after a few minutes the hose should get hot, this indicates that the thermostat opened up and is working. If it doesn't replace the thermostat. If it doesn't over heat until you start driving , then suspect the water pump. The impellers can slip on the shaft and not have enough flow to keep it cool.

Wont start

Does the power come on but it just does not start? If this is so check your connections. A loose battery connection could cause this. Crank it down hard (not too hard but hard enough to make it not move with force) and see if it corrects the problem. If this does not work check any connection you messed with. Then check your fuses for each part. There are many fuses in a cluster that could cause your car not to start. Easiest way is to check the batt, then fuses, then connections. If this does not work get back to be and ill work it out with you.

Car wont start

Does the battery have enough capacity to turn over the engine though? Even flat car batteries will still power the radio. The best way would be to jump start the car uing a set of jumper leads. If it starts you know it is the battery that needs replacing.

If it still wont turn over then it is most likely the solenoid in your starter motor. You can often tap the starter motor with a hammer and free the solenoid as a temporary fix. The starter motor is loacted at the back of the engine on the bell housing if rear wheel drive, or around the tranmission if a front wheel drive.
