Trying to diag why the gas gage does not work is there a relay I don't know about or something like that I guess knowing the diagram would be the best soo plz hel[p me
Check power to the sender unit in the fuel tank may be a break in the wire in your trunk/boot. if not change the sender unit.

I just fixed that problem in my 87 Toyota pick-up. My fuel gauge showed FULL all the time. The sending unit in your fuel tank has probably croaked. I had to drain the fuel tank, remove it, and try to remove the screws that hold the sending unit in. The screw heads ALL snapped off due to them being 21 years old. Ended up having to buy a new fuel tank, as we couldn't get the broken ones out of the tank. Found an aftermarket new tank for about $275 at Advance Auto. Sending unit is only avaliable from Toyota for about $125.

CHECK FUEL PUMP FUSE.AND SCAN CAR FOR PCM FAULT CODES.PCM CONTROLS THE FUEL PUMP.A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL HAS FUEL PUMP DIAGRAM.
