HEATER CORE? last january i had a new heater core put in my ford f150 1998 truck, because it seemed like the heat was not blowing out like it should. during the summer every now and than i would turn the heat on to make sure it was working like it should. it seemed like it was most of the time. now when i REALLY need the heat to work, i get nothing. it almost sounds like when i turn the dial over to heat the blower doors inside ar not opening up? does that make sense? any idea what the problem might be? thank you for your time. eternally grateful me, noelle

It is very possible you blew a fuse. There are two 15 amp fuses for the blower motor, make sure you check both of them.

You may have a clogged heater core, leaking heating cores still provide heat.

There is no heater valve on a 1998 ford F-150. The hoses for the heater lead directly from the engine and go to the heater case. PS The heater doors are all vacuum controlled so you might wanna look under the dash for any lines that might be disconnected

Your problem is a faulty heater control valve. The design used on these vehicles allows for hot water to flow constantly and compete with the evaporator as there is no blender door. You have to replace the valve and possibly the control head. Meanwhile, you can bypass the valve to have cold air

you need to check the blend door in the heater box it maybe broken or stuck.the blend door switches between the heater core and ac evaporator to provide a mix of temperature
