Have just p/u an 03 Tiburon that has been sitting for about 3 years now. Battery was dead so I replaced it. Car will not turn over when clutch is depressed as well drivers door will not open even though lock works using remote but only partially opens using key. Drivers window will not come down using inside door panel button but passengers works fine on either door. Just curious do these cars have to be cycled with one of the door locks similar to lets say newer Jeeps.
Sounds like a weak driver's door lock/unlock actuator (rusted/oxidized) w/the trans clutch safety switch (Ignition Lock Switch) circuit Is this a major fix should I have towed to dealer - eeb47a1.jpgmg src="/uploads/images/eeb47a1.jpg" alt="eeb47a1.jpg" class="h_mi" />
There is also the possibility the burglar alarm relay(starter kill) circuit is 'OPEN'. To check the starter solenoid circuit & starter, go to the U/H (under hood) Junction box and remove the starter relay. Jumper the starter Is this a major fix should I have towed to dealer - 40a2524.jpgrcuit at the relay connections in the junction box
Driver's power window problem could be the control switch itself, or the motor has stalled (if only stalled, a simple 'SHOCK' to the motor can get it working again). With the driver's door window switch held in up or down position (depending wether window is UP or DOWN), momentarily HIT the interior door panel at the arm rest 'INWARD' (not too much force... just a SHOCK) you don't want to break the door panel. If this doesn't work, you'll need to gaIs this a major fix should I have towed to dealer - 3595015.jpgo the moIs this a major fix should I have towed to dealer - 8bc893e.jpgonnector to see if power & ground are present at the window motor connector pins.
