Disconnect the vacuum line to the brake booster and plug off to the engine. run the engine and apply the brakes and see if it still cuts out. If not the reattach the vacuum hose and re apply the brakes . If there is a stall then replace the brake booster as there is a fault in it that is allowing air into the manifold on brake application. This problem is not connected to the CPU by sensor so no faults would be recorded.
