How can I convert my factory installed radio to bluetooth in my 2007 rav4?

I need to go hands free with my cell phone, but my radio does not have Bluetooth. I would like to use something that does not require pulling out my radio. Is this possible, and if so how?

Yes you can! Just Google Bluetooth adapter, choose one from Best Buy, Amazon.com, Ebay, etc.
They work WITH your radio, so you don't have to remove it! The instructions are simple, and most of them work decently.
BTW- Check the reviews and be sure to spend enough to get a decent one!

SOURCE: Bluetooth in Prius 2007 suddenly won't connect to cell phone(s)

unplug the fuse for the navigation/radio for about 10 minutes then plug it back in. that should reset it. before you do that make sure you know the code to activate the radio and how to enter it (if it requires a code).

if you can't locate the fuse just unhook the battery for that length of time.

please take a moment to rate this solution thanks

How do I installed my own aux into 97 Saturn factory radio

If it helps you can get a Bluetooth Adapter that also has an auxiliary outlet for a standard 3.5mm Aux. Cable that plugs into your 12V/Ciggerate Lighter Adapter and you can connect your phone, iPod, or anything else that has Bluetooth Technology to your radio that way. You just set your radio to a certain FM Radio station(my adapter uses 105.7 for example) and the adapter transmits the sound to your radio- this is also great for taking calls while driving as it plays the phone audio through your stereo’s speakers and the adapter acts as a microphone so it’s hands free. You can also hard wire it into your stereo with an adapter from PAC or any reputable electronics/accessory manufacturer. These adapters are only like $10-$15 or so on eBay. I’ll add a pic and a link.

When on my phone it kicks me off the radio?

If you have a Bluetooth u-connect radio and Bluetooth phone it is likely the settings of the phone and car radio are to pair. I expert that during the pairing process and hands free operation the radio sets itself to mute.

Check settings!

Hope this helps?

My Lexus ES350 isn't making any sound out of the speakers, but the radio/CD player is on. My Bluetooth hands free phone devise is also picking up calls, but no sound.

Take it to a stereo shop and consider rolling the repair into an upgrade to new speakers. They will test and if the radio / wires are bad just buy a new radio, etc.

OK - If you are getting the SIG instead of Phone connected in the X Type - You need to enter the code - for the 2007 X Type, the Code is ##3#*# - Which should then say waiting and finally SIG ****** which means it is connectable - To pair your phone, goto bluetooth and pair device, wait until the Jaguar is found. When prompted for the numerical code it is 1313
