Key will not remove from ingintion switch

Try pushing the gear shift further forward in park with your hand and see if the key releases.

If this fails it may be the switch itself just under the centre console which surrounds your gear shift. Carefully but firmly pull up the centre console up and you will see a little 'plunger' switch the engages when the gear shift is at its furthest travel forward in park.

My anti theft alarm goes off and makes it to where I can't start my car how do i bypass this

You can't do it; the Theft System it's integrated to the vehicle control computer ECU/PCM; you need install one INTERFACE to make this work.

Review this Wiring Diagram and this comment: when installing a 791 TRANSPONDER BYPASS System on this vehicle it will be necessary to remove the BOTTOM STEERING COLUMN Cover and IGNITION SWITCH TUMBLER to gan access to the Factory Transponder System around the Ignition Switch. To do so will require that you first look at the bottom of the STEERING COLUMN COVER to identify the screw holes from the IGNITION SWITCH TUMBLER RELEASE PIN HOLE, that is required to remove the Ignition Switch Tumbler, the IGNITION SWITCH RELEASE PIN HOLE is the SMALLEST Hole in the plastic cover in this picture. NOTE *** to remove the IGNITION SWITCH TUMBLER, a TORX #15 Bit on a Screw Driver will work just fine. Incert it up into this hole and press, at the same time, turning the IGNITION SWITCH ON and the Tumbler will pull out at the same time. This Must be done to remove the IGNITION SWITCH TUMBLER so that the BOTTOM Steering Column Cover can be removed to gain access to the TRANSPONDER SYSTEM built around the IGNITION SWITCH.

Also, its possible that you need other details from the Taurus's Owners Manual.

Hope helps.

Building a derby car and need to know how to wire starter and ingintion

The ignition switch can be just an SPST toggle switch that connects power from the battery side of the starter solenoid to the battery side of the ignition resistor. The starter switch is just a normally-open single-pole push-button. The starter solenoid usually has two small terminals and two large terminals. Wire one small terminal to the battery side of the solenoid and the other small terminal to the starter switch. The other side of the starter switch goes to a good grounding point. This allows the starter to be operated at any time whether the ignition is on or not. Remove a battery terminal to prevent kids from starting the car or turning the ignition on and running the battery down. Hope this helps!

2005 chevy cobalt key stuck in ingintion, can not get the key out car will not start seems like battery is dead

Place the transmission shifter in neutral and try starting the car. If the car starts that's a good thing. The bad thing, there is a lock pin in the shifter that activates the micro switch to release the ignition key when it's turned to the off position. It's a simple fix, take the center console a part so you can get to the pin to realign it to the micro switch. When you have it apart you'll see what i mean. Once you have it aligned, the key's will release from the ignition switch. Good luck and hope this helps, and take note: make sure you have a set of tools to take the console a part if this happens again when your out of town.

I have a 2006 colbalt and i can't get the key out of the ingintion

THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM IS IN THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY. IT HAS A PLASTIC PART IN THE SHIFT LEVER THAT BREAKS NOT ALLOWING THE BTSI SOLENOID TO WORK PROPERLY THUS NOT ALLOWING THE IGNITION CYLINDER TO ROTATE TO RELEASE THE KEY.
