SOURCE: my citreon xsara picasso heater blower not working and air con not working either help

In my Xsara it's the ignitionswitch. Seems to be a common problem. Now I need to find a workaround, since the new one won't arrive until friday

Picasso heater blower not working

Hi all. Yes this is a very common issue. 2 distinct issues in fact are common with the aircon.
1 you get fan on certain settings only. This is the resistor gone and johnjohn2 has identified the fix for this above. This is usually (although not always not intermittent and so you will usually lose all other settings over night and they don't come back
2 you get no fan activity at all. This starts to happen intermittently and then gets more frequent until the fans won't work at all. The fix for this is expensive through Citroen but cheap if you get the part off ebay. It is the ignition switch cable which has a fault. A very common issue. You need to remove the ignition switch and replace the cable from it. Work is not long but plugs can be tight and fiddly.
here is the link for the part
