Question about 1996 Chrysler Sebring

1 Answer

Intermittent air conditioner

My 1996 Sebring Convertible (V-6, 97,000 miles) air conditioning goes through non-cooling intervals while driving, and then returns to cooling. Refrigerant level is OK. Green indicator light in the switch remains on. No perceptible load shedding or take-up during these cycles which usually last approx 15 min.

Is it the fan that stops or the a/c that stops

I have a 1996 chryster Sebring Convertible jxi 2.5L 6cy startes and runs ok but when u go to drive sometime it goes and sometimes it dies

I have a car just like yours. My car use to do the same thing. When I checked for a code, it showed nothing. I would be driving down the road, sometimes 50-60, and it would just cut off. I bought a MAP sensor and that fixed my problem. Hope that helps.

Why does my 95 sebring cut out after i drive it awhile .It drives ok until i drive about 3 miles then it loses power.

you might have a bad distributor, but inspect E.G.R.and crank signal, is this a 2.5? very common for this eng. size distributor goes bad and if installed non factory one will ended up having same problem

How often I have change the oil from the diferencial

Depends on driving conditions, highway or city driving?
Depends on what type oil you are running in the car synthetic normally goes longer between intervals. If you are driving mostly city with regular oil would recomend changing the oil every 3 to 4K miles.
If you are using synthectic you can go 5 to 7K

Tune up

At each 100,000 mile interval u need to replace the spark plug, at 30,000 the air filter and fuel filter, check the cooling system hoses and coolant every 60,000 miles, check the drive belt every 30,000, replace after 60,000. These are routine suggested maint items.

And don't forget to keep the pressure correct in the tires, under-inflated tires kill fuel mileage.
