Need to remove centre dash on 2002 holden astra

its probably a sensor or fuse maybe, i'm just guessing, or it could be a in line fuse, thats where two wires come together, and it is connected with a red or yellow connector some times they are blue, they are covered in plastic, metal in middle

you will have to puchase a window handle removal tool from your local parts store. KD makes a good one but you wiil have to use this tool to remove a clip that holds the "winder " on.

Hello,
I think I can explain it easy enough with no diagrams as this is a simple enough job.

1. On the door panel go to the upper right corner.
2. Pull that little access panel off. There is sometimes a screw or two to remove and other times it pops off but you will be able to tell at a glance.
3. Now you will see 3 bolts (13mm or 14mm) and a wire harness running down.
4. First pull up on the harness a bit to expose the connector. Sometimes there will be a zip tie of sorts holding the harness in place. Just snip it but don't cut the harness.
5. Now take a flathead screwdriver and gently lift up on the connector on the tab and pull the connector off BUT don't drop the connector inside the door panel. Anchor it with some tape.
6. Now remove two of them 3 bolts and just loosen the 3rd bolt.
7. Now with one hand supporting the mirror remove the 3rd bolt with the other hand.
8. Now the mirror will slide right off. Mind the connector to make sure it does not get hung up on the way out.
9. Now reverse the procedure to install.
10. Job finished.

SOURCE: my high beam lights & parking lights work, but not the normal lights.1985 holden astra!

By "normal lights" I assume you mean "low-beam headlamps"? If this is true, then you may either have burned out headlamp bulbs or a faulty low-beam headlamp relay or relay circuit.
