SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON YET MY CAR DOESNT MAKE ANY FUNNY NOISES

Typically, the oil change light comes on when the computer calculates you have 10% oil life left. If your oil level is ok, then you should have the oil changed soon, like within a week or so. If you don't really maintain the car well, I would get it changed right away, like the next day. Here is a video on why not to trust the oil change light.

change mechanics --or bring back and have them fix correctly when they did the engine work doesnt sound like was done correctly and now you may have a bigger problem

Have you checked the oil,checked to see if dipstick and fuel cap are tight.Do you have oil spots on driveway? Those are the first things I would check,if oil is on driveway is it coming from the oil pan.It 'seems" it May be tied in with the oil change from 2 weeks ago

Service Engine Soon came back on and the car is again stalling ????? Did you have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ? Service engine soon light on , codes will be present !

it wont go away because their is a mechanical problem and or problem with oil change [ not enough oil wrong filter etc ] will need to have vehicle scanned for the fault code to determine the problem most auto stores offer this service for free

If your oil level is full, light is off and no abnormal engine noises, if should be ok to drive to the shop. If light does come on, stop the engine. I would also have the shop check your oil pressure with a manual gauge, to determine the exact oil pressure reading. This could save you from major engine failure due to low oil pressure. just look for the blackened/burned pin on the rear light plastic connector and sand it down to re-establish a good electrical connection and save yourself $800 big ones on replacing the multiswitch.

Yes, When you run an engine low on oil enough to cause the light to come on then damage is being done. It sounds like you caught it just in time. I would change the oil and filter for shure as soon as possible. Then I would Change them again In a week or two. Then you should be OK.

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the Check Engine or Service Engine Soon lights to tell you that there is a problem and you should have the car diagnosed and repaired. Not fluid related, but could be a small problem that's easy to fix now. Even a loose gas cap can turn the light on. Have a code scan, that's the starting point.
