Wow, I cannot believe the rubbish answers posted here.
It has a simple cable setup. The slack adjuster is on the end of the cable on the gearbox side. Just where the cable passes through the mounting on the gearbox on its way to the lever.
Just turn it to take up the slack.

SOURCE: Clutch pedal low near floor, can the clutch be adjusted?

hi the clutch on accent is hydraulic operation so if pedal is very low on disengaging clutch ? you may have a problem with the hydraulics 1st thing to check is fluid level? this is the reservoir that feeds both brakes and clutch but is seperaterated inside if fluid low? top up and bleed the slave cyl however if fluid low indicates a leak ? possibly slave cyl? if no loss of fluid ? then prob may be fault in the master cyl ? check fluid come back with any update please ps if this problem has just occured? check for leaks ?

How to adjust your clutch cable on hyundai atos prime

Do you not know where to start or have you tried and failed? The reason I ask is that these cars have a common problem which can cause you to fail.

Assuming you have tried and failed, check where the cable goes through the firewall. The mounting was weakly designed and often becomes loose. If this has happen, your attempts to adjust it will fail. You will need to get it welded up some how.

If you didn't know where to start, follow the cable from the pedal, through the firewall and into the engine compartment. It ends at the clutch and there is a knob on the cable that you can turn by hand to adjust it (if I remember correctly).

If your firewall is definitely holding the cable securely (check again!) and it still won't adjust, you might need a new clutch.

I hope that helps.

Hyundai atos 2006 clutch pedal hard and gears change difficult

After replacing the clutch and adjusted the cable and you are STILL having a problem with the clutch (it is a cable clutch not a hydrolic one) have a look at where the clutch enters through the fire wall (engine side) you will see that is has probably collapsed or dented there, for some reason this is a common occurrence with the hyundai. This has happened to mine as well as my friend's atos. This is something that should not happen

Can you adjust the clutch on a 2002 hyundai accent

The clutch in this car is a hydraulic design and is self adjusting. If you have a hard pedal with high pedal engagement or a slipping condition you are going to need a new clutch installed.

It feels as though the clutch pedal is much softer than it used to be and has to be depressed all the way to the floor to shift and it is more difficult to get into gear, particularly reverse.

try adjusting any free play in your cable connected to the clutch fork from the clutch peddle, there mite be an adjustment screw, nowadays its usually white plastick, take up any free play in the cable, failing this you mite need a clutch replacement.due to ware.

To change gears, I need to fully press down on my clutch pedal to stop a grinding noise on my hyundai accent 2001Can I adjust the clutch cable,

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

In a manual 2001 Hyundai Accent, the clutch cable could be adjusted. The adjustment point is on the cable 'pad' where it enters the firewall in the engine compartment.

To adjust, the slack or free play must be decreased. This is done by turning the adjusting nut clockwise. Check back by pressing on the clutch pedal to your preference.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
