Radio the battery died and now the radio dose not even turn on. i have a 2004 slk 320

The first thing to check is the fuse for the radio. More likely, though, is that the radio needs a security code to turn back on. A local dealership may be willing to give you this code if you go there with your title. There also websites that offer radio unlock codes. Does the radio display anything when you start the car or when you try to turn the radio on?

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.

You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorized dealership. Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes or engraved in the metal casing.

think you need a new radio i suspect you put the jump leads on the wrong way around

make sure you have put on all conectors that came of when you changed the battery, if this ok, you may have a blown fuse at the back of the radio

Hi, check the fuse box for a blown fuse in the radio slot. sometimes during jumps, this fuse will blow.

Wen you put back the battery on i think that you mist a groud wire that was on your groud cable or a power wire +try this and good luck
