I have a Fisher 8' plow. The up and down have been extremely slow. On top of the motor I noticed a screw, possible bleeder? I loosened this and tried the controls .worked perfectly, but when I tightened it bacvk down, it went back to where we started. I then loosened up the screw, and works great. Can I leave this screw where I have it now without any issues arising?? Thank you

Im an automechanic by trade, and know nothing about plows or tractors, although some knowlege might apply to both. I suspect that screw adjusts the speed of its relitive lever, there are probably more for each lever. If it works, go for it. I see no problems arising, but again I know little about tractors or plows, but lots about mechanicals and how stuff works. Put the screw where you want it, and ride on!

SOURCE: I am trying to loosen a caliper bleeder valve.

Try hitting the area around the bleeder with a hammer .. it may help .. bleeders are tough if they don't go after being heated/lubed. You could try loosening the line into the caliper .. that may allow enough of a bleed, banking on the fact that there is still brake fluid in that caliper .. otherwise you may end up replacing that caliper.

SOURCE: tried to bleed brakes by loosening the brake lines

You need to have the broken Bleeder screws replaced or the wheel cylinders replaced. You can't bleed the brakes by loosening the brake lines all it will do is bleed the brake lines. The bleeder screws allow the fluid to flow through the wheel cylinders or calipers flushing the air out.

SOURCE: not sure how to hook up plow motor to battery? Its

The heavy + should be connected to the battery through the solenoid for the motor. There should be wires to control the solenoid (an electric switch, you know). The - goes to the truck's frame at a place of your choice. The ground must be solid, you know that, right?

I think if I were doing this install, I would hook the plow ground with the battery ground on the fame or where ever it is located.

The plow control should be mounted for your convenience inside the cab.

Lets review: Plow motor | ground to ground, hot to solenoid (motor side) | solenoid (battery side) to battery | solenoid control wires to cab.

I have a fisher minuteman plow it will go up, left and right but will not go down what is wrong with my plow

If you have a Minit Mount two it's probably the valve sticking. It's electronically controlled so if it clicks, then the solenoid is working and the shuttle in the valve is stuck. Can be disassembled and cleaned. New ones are best but pricey.

I can hear my fisher plow motor but the plow will not lift or angle

There solinoids on pump. Check wiring and grounds. Make sure all small wires are intact and in good condition. But most likely there's a loose corroded or green wire causing issue

I dont know what bolt to loosen to bleed my brakes.

You need to loosen the Bleeder valve on the brake caliper, it is located on top of the caliper loosen it slightly and you will notice fluid start to run. If you are doing it our self you will need to let each one gravity bleed for about 15 min each. Hope that helps you

Bleeder vavle, brake line housing <rear>.

The best way to open bleeder is with heat.heat bleeder screw with torch.heat down hole in end of bleeder,go slow so it doesn't melt, when glowing red quench with lots of water.tap on end of bleeder and open.if still stuck repeat.

I have a 94 dodge stealth and when u press the clutch it just stays on the floor. I have replaced both the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder but it has fixed the problem yet.

  • Okie dokie,,,they have a really hard bleed success rate.. you can do it by your self ...follow my steps...
  • make sure the pedal is off the floor in the up position
  • use the 10mm unscrew the bleeder screw on the slave cyl about 2 full revoloutions
  • pour fluid in the clutch res start to look down watch it come out the bleeder screw, wait a few seconds and tighten the screw.
  • keep filling the resevoir..it can be messy then put the top cap on the resvoir snug...
  • now you bleed, untighten the bleeder screw a 1/4 turn then go push on your clutch pedal, it if does not go down loosen another 1/4 turn...
  • if the pedal hits the floor>>>>tighten the bleeder screw first then pick-up the peadal...
  • make sure the resevoir is half full ....
  • okay loosen the bleeder screw 1/4 to 1/3 turn again, push the peadal to the floor... let it go all the way down.
  • then go tighten the bleeder screw , and pick up the pedal....
  • keep an eye on your resevoir ...
  • note if you ever remove the clutch cap to fill you must bleed the system..the cap does not hold pressure but it does provide a suction...!!!

Tried to bleed brakes by loosening the brake lines because the bleeder screws were broke off. it doesn't seem to be bleeding them good> what to do?

Only two options...remove the wheel cylinder asd carefully drill out the bleeder screw without damaging the threads or seat, or...replace the wheel cylinder (they aren't all that expensive). Since the line enters the cylinder lower that the bleeder, it is impossible to get the air out of there unless you turn the car upside down!!! No...don't try that!!!
