Jeep wrangler wiper fluid will not dispense on front windshield

I have a 08 Wrangler Unlimited. The windsheild wipers work but the switch to dispense the wiper fluid and mist the wipers, does not work. When I pull the switch, nothing happens. I can still turn on the wipers and can even spray fluid on the rear window. With the sysmptom, I feel i have eliminated a clog in the fluid delivers (because the wipers don't turn on), a pump issue (because it sprays the back window) and a wiper issue (as the wipers are fully functional when I turn the knob).

Faulty switch. I would replace that first thing.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Are these easy to change or should they be done by a dealer?

Sprayers are clogged up. You can clean out the sprayers with a needle, some have two holes so look carefully.

SOURCE: 1998 Jeep Wrangler Electrical Short in Steering Column?

I had a similar problem with my 2000 Jeep TJ and I found the problem in the wiring harness under the hood.several wires were corroded and almost burnt off.If you remove the black tape which keeps the harness bundled together and if you see evidence of "green" type powder or "gook" it's most likely where the wires have faulted.

SOURCE: 2000 Jeep Cherokee Windshield Washer

You have a motor for the front and rear washer. Check the fuses. If the intermitted wipers does not work, there is a relay under the dash near the steering colum that needs to be replaced.

Jeep wrangler wiper fluid will not dispense on front windsheld but will on the rear

Switch is faulty is the first thing comes to my mind. Your spot on tho in your diagnosis, although you may have two pumps and tanks, one for front, one for rear. I would check all my fuses just to be sure, and I would look at all my waster tubes and make sure they are not clogged, check your nozzles too, as sometimes wax can clog them up.
