Front vibration in 1998 GMC Sonoma extended cab

I've been having a rather hard vibration in my truck when I accelerate or deccelerate @ 25 mph. The vibration goes away when I speed up past 25 or slow down to below 25. I also have some uneven tire wear on the front tires.
U-joints were replaced and I was going to have the tires rotated and checked for broken belt(s). Any other ideas on what to check for? Tie-rods maybe?
Thanks

Since you are getting your car aligned make shure that they check the constant velocity joints.....

when these are bad...what you get is a vibration in one o both sides, also you might hear a tapping sound when steering.

0il guage climbs when I accelerate and drops when deccelerates

That could be normal if oil pressure at idle is at least 25 or 30 psi.
Generally oil pressure stays between 30 and 50 psi on most models.

REPEATLY worn out carrier bearing on my 2001 GMC Sonoma extended cab ( 4.3 , 4speed auto 2wd) what could be the cause of this even after I've had it rebalanced?

  • If the bearing fails and seizes up, the rubber will be torn away from the bearing. The seized bearing can tear away the rubber mount that supports the outside of it allowing the bearing to rotate with the driveshaft. This allows the driveshaft to wobble up and down causing a vibration.
  • The rubber can also deteriorate due to age or contamination with oil. The driveshaft will operate at the wrong angle and vibration or noise will result. The vibration occurs most often during hard acceleration.
  • A worn center support bearing can cause a whining sound that varies with vehicle speed. The noise is constant in pitch, rather than changing or intermittent like U-joint noise.
  • If the truck has been raised , the alignment of the drive shaft will also change, A damaged driveshaft can exhibit a variety of symptoms. A clunk that is heard when the transmission is shifted into gear is the most obvious. You can also encounter unusual noise, roughness, or vibration.
NOTE The engine, torque converter and driveshaft change in frequency as rpm changes. A rebuilt torque converter is often the cause of a vibration that is rpm-related.

To help differentiate a potential drivetrain problem from other common sources of noise or vibration, it is important to note the speed and driving conditions at which the problem occurs. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to accurately pinpoint drivetrain problems with only a road test. Expand the undercar investigation by putting the vehicle up on the lift, where it is possible to get a good view of what is going on underneath.

    • Check the companion flange, carrier bearing, pinion shaft seal, and pinion bearing, transmission's extension housing seal and bushing, and the u-joints.
    • Check the driveshaft for runout, or the amount that a part wobbles up and down or side to side when it is in motion.

My 2001 GMC Sonoma is idling rough, starts hard but when accelerates sounds good. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and now all the plugs and wires, but still rough?

Check for vacumn leaks ! Idle air compensator? clean throttle valve oppenings and air port opening,do you have check engine lite on,check EGR valve? Dirty fuel injectors ,bad pressure regulator?Check fuel pressure at fuel rail,at idle !

I have a 2000 gmc sonoma and while driving down

Probably the CV joint. When you put it in 4x4 that puts extra torque on it so it wont vibrate so much.

2000 GMC Sonoma Vibrates at 25 and 45 mph

Generally, the tire vibration only arrives at 60ish.
However, if you have a distorted tire, or worse, more than one, or even worse, Buckled Wheels!
You are inevitably going to experience vibrations, at varying speeds.
Take the wheels off, and make sure, the wheels are actually still,, er, circular.
It's best to put them on a Balancing Machine, then you can see how bad they are.
If the problem isn't solved soon, you may well be finding yourself, forking out for new wheel bearings.
That should do it.
Happy motoring.

1998 GMC Sonoma threw code P1133 02S 1/1

P1133 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
I would have the repair shop see if they either damaged or left disconnected the oxygen sensor for engine cylinder bank one upstream sensor, this sensor would have been disconnected if the oil pan was removed.
