Is the up keep real expensive? an what should i look for when i do an inspection?
It is very important that you check the following...:
1.make shure that they clean it and gave it a tune up.
2. check the tires, will you have to get new one right away?
3. look at the engine visually what do you see, is it dirty or is it clean?
4. crash report. has it been in an accident?
5. look at the underbody. how is the frame and the shocks and the wishbones bushings. are they in good condition?
6. if visible look at the brake pads, are they in good condition?
//////and these are the most important....
LOOK UNDER THE BODY LOCATE THE OIL PAN, FRONT DIFFERENTIAL, REAR DIFFEREATIAL, TRANSFERCASE, AND TRANSMISSION. ARE THEY LEAKING OIL? IF THEY ARE THIS will cost you money to get repair....so make shure they are not leaking.
REMOVE THE OIL CAP AND TRY TO LOOK INSIDE THE ENGINE LOOK FOR SLUDGE BUILD UP....
ALSO CHECK THE TRANNY OIL MAKE SHURE THAT IT IS IN A CHERRY RED COLOR AND NOT BLACK OR SMELLING BURNT.
AND LAST ONE.......CRANK IT AND TURN IT ON.....LET IT RUN FOR A 5 MINUTE....IF YOU CAN"......AND THEN STEP A LITTLE BIT ON THE GAS PEDAL.........HAVE SOMEONE LOOK AT THE TAIL PIPE....IF YOU SEE "SMOKE COMING FROM IT....
THIS CAR IS A PIECE OF ****....AND THE ENGINE HAS TOO MANY MILES..........
GOOD LUCK man!....make a good decision....XD
