I have a 1991 Toyota Previa and the interior light on passenger side just behind the sliding door isn't working, although the forward dome light is. Are they on the same fuse? Just curious, since the bulb seems to be OK, but the side light isn't working!

The ground circuit for the driver side door switch is compromised, or the door switch is bad. Try this: Remove the black rubber cover from the door swich. Using a 10 millimeter wrench or socket, loosen & tighten the switch retention bolt. See if the dome light flickers. If so, the ground on the switch is bad, & just needs cleaned up. If not, remove the switch, and touch the wire behind the switch to the body,or the bolt hole. If the dome light lights, you need a door switch. Your problem is entirely in the door switch/ground/wiring. Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Look closely at the cover. You will see a small slot. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver, and pry it off. Very easy..

Check the prones inside the connector that you plug into the brake light module. You may have to squeeze, wiggle, tilt each one to see which one is not connecting all that good. I know it may sound confusing. I tried to explain the best of I could.
