Park Place Lexus, in Grapevine TX told me it was my rack-and-pinion assembly. It would cost $1400 to replace.

Clunk sound{ loud} when going over bumps and dips: Especially when turning right, sounds like something under the car is going to break in half! Stabilizer bar came loose a few months ago, and was not put...

The stabilizer bar could be your problem however, since the clunking sound occurs when you go over bumps and dip it sounds to me that your problem is a bad or broken strut or strut mount. I would suggest that you check all of your struts. If a strut does break off it can potentially cause you to loose a tire while driving . I hope this helps you out, and good luck.

How much should a mechanic charge to replace both rear struts and strut mounts on a 2000 Lexus ES300? How much to replace the front motor mount and the upper motor mount?

since it is a lexus i would not advise going cheap. the struts will probably cost around $350. the motor mounts will probably run around a grand since so much work is involved.

200 Camry LE, 77,000 miles. Rattling noise over bumps, car front end dives when breaks are applied hard, Car bounces a couple times when human oushes on front end

This sounds like a bad strut, one or both on the front has gone bad. Here is a picture of just the strut with out the spring. The price ranges from $65.00 to $220.00 depends on what you can afford. mcneb_0.jpg

Causes for rear suspension noise? sounds like rubber bushing crunch when going through dips. What is the most common cause for this?

Rear struts,by the age of your car you will need them replace them Some times if your lucky you might be able to change just the top strut bearing or rubber mount,.but the strut will have to taken out of your car to do this.

Clunking and knocking noise from rear when hitting bumps.

-it could be the sawy bar linkages
-but also check to see if the struts are leaking or that it looks damp
-but because you said it doesn't look like it bouncing when you hit a dip most likely it could be that the struts are dead
-check to see the cars ride hieght that would give you a clue
