Right area. If it is a 2.4L, replace them. If it is a 2.5L, you need a distributor most likely.

SOURCE: 1999 CRYSLER CIRRUS NO SPARK,CHNAGE CRANK

Either ASD relay in the fuse box in the front driver's side engine compartment or a burnt wire on the harness on the back of the motor going to the crankshaft position sensor.....
The relay can be swapped with one of the other relays because they are the same ones in the fuse box.

The cover inside over the mirror, may have one screw in it,you will see it if does. of not it just pops off. then there will be three nuts that hold the mirror on. if you have adjustable mirrors then there will be one plug to take apart.

Car wouldn't start .told crankshaft sensor faulty / replaced but still not start & smells as if flood cab

Before you go for anything, try the following: 1) check if there is any spark goes from distributor or coil to leads .
2) check if your car fitted with injection system,if the injectors are spraying correct or are not. If not means that too much fuel in the combustion chamber and kill the spark.
3)remove the spark plugs - after you start for couple of times - if are dry or wet. if are wet probably you have problem with the injector or spark lead, coil or distributor.
4) blocked catalytic converter.
5) ECU ( Electronic Control Unit.) faulty.

Crankshaft senor. This sensor supplies info to the ECM, that inturns sends the info to the ignition module that controls the spark. Check the codes.
