So here's a bit of back story. Truck was running fine last Saturday morning. Then like an idiot I left the lights on for a few hours and killed my battery. Tried to jump it and all it did was turn over and die within seconds. So I charged it overnight with a trickle charger and ran it in to get the battery tested just in case I killed it with how cold it's been. Battery checked out fine...I just bought the thing a month ago but it's been running great otherwise so I don't think it's anything mechanical. Like I said it just fires up and dies right away ever since the battery died. any hints?
SOURCE: I have a 92 Camaro and the problem I'm having is
SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED BOTH THE ALTERNATOR AND THE STARTER TESTED.THE CAR SHOULD STAY RUNNING OFF THE ALTERNATOR ONCE BOOSTED,IT SHOULD START OFF THE BATTERY WHEN FULLY CHARGED.
you've had the misfortune of getting a bad rebuilt alternator-sorry-they should give you another one -I hope its not hard to replace-Denny
Testimonial: "thanks ill take it in tomorrow to have it checked.. what a pain"
