B16A Engine I'm just wanting to know, yes or no if you can fit any of JDM's B16 motors in a 1993 Honda Civic si Hatchback that has a 1.6L SOHC 4-cylinder VTEC. Can I fit a B16A or B16C JDM Engine?

No spark

Yes. No crank sensor signal usually means no spark. The ecu has to receive crank position to set spark timing. I think you've really hit a big problem. You may need to get in touch with some people who have done this mod. I've always heard it's best and easiest to swap the engine with its ecu and the wiring harness into another car. Or something more compatible with that jdm engine.

How to install a subwoofer and amplifier

When installing any electrical components always remember to unhook the battery. First thing you want to do is run your ground cable from a volt meter to a body or frame nut or bolt near by in the trunk or hatch area a shorter thicker ground is best then connect the other end of your volt meter to your battery cable that will need to be run through the firewall and connect to the positive battery terminal. Also VERY important make sure you have installed a fuse on the wire in between the amp and the battery. after you have connected the battery cable and ground to your meter it will light up or give you the correct reading for your ground, if not run the ground somewhere else until you have found the right spot. pull out your stereo, for stereos that are made to be compatible with an amp there will be multiple rca jacks in the back of the stereo. For a sub woofer you want to hook the rca cable to the rear or sub labeled rca jacks. Then run your amplifier remote wire to the remote wire protruding from the back of your car stereo. After that you can run the ground and battery cable to the correct slots. Now connect your sub via rca and your done. making it fit correctly is up to you. If you do not have an amp with a subwoofer out then you can take the wires from your sub and bridge the connection to your amp and get enough power, take the positive wire to your sub and hook it up to the positive terminal of channel one on the amp then take the negative wire from your sub and hook it into the negative terminal on channel two and your done.

What engines can fit in a 1997 honda del sol

Assuming you have a 1500. You can fit a d series, D16a1 or D16y8 (120-130bhp), a B16 (150) a B16a (JDM 160), a B18 from a Integra Tpre R (187), a K20 from a RSX, or a H22 from a Prelude. Most engines need a little work and wiring harnesses, but check it out thoroughly online on forums to udnerstand what is involved.

My personal choice would be a B16 or B18, light engines that are bulletproof.

Go for it :)

I have a 90 crx si with a b16a vetec engine in it. I was wondering what kind of engine is in it because it is a swap. the motor number is 1207276? and i have an idleing problem and im pretty sure that its...

A B16A with no number fallowing it is a JDM engine. If it was a B16A1 for example it is a USDM engine. As for the idle problem its probably a tps sensor and if it idles really low rpms you should up the idle at the trottle body to idle at 800 rpms to be safe, To low of a idle will cause bearings to go out and throw a rod.
Lookj at the valve cover if it is a jdm you will know if it is a SIR or a SIR2, SIR has larger font for the DOHC and smaller font for the VTech The sir2 has larger font Vtech and smaller font DOHC. The SIR2 also has oil jets underside of pistons and rods to help lubricate piston rod conections.

So, I have a 1993 Honda Civic si hatchback and I'm dropping a B16A engine into it, what kind of tranny am I going to need and clutch with it? I've heard of YS1 cable tranny, but would a regular ACT high...

In short yes the ACT clutch would work fine I have done the conversions myself and I've mated a B16 engine to a B18 gearbox. Be sure to uprate your drive shafts and brake system. ATB

B16A

The B16a will fit in the 86 as far as the positioning, and motor mounts go. Of course you will have to upgrade the ecu, or at least get a piggy back unit for the extra fuel to run that monster. Hope that helps. Oh yea, and I am pretty sure the tranny should fit, but you may want to check the codes/serial #'s at your local dealer.

Just a question

The swap is easy but too much to post here. I will fit into any civic 89-00 with the right aftermarket mounts from hasport or just go to ebay. The engine harness can be purchased at a local juck yard if you don't have a harness with 4 injectors. I you have only two injectors then the harness will need to be modified with vtec wiring and ad the other 2 injectors. Any 90-93 integra axles will fit as long as you use the halfshft. Must be manual. and use a modified shif linkage from ebay. Youmust take off the caps behind the civics hubs. Use a PWO or PR3 ECU. Good luck.

Which engine fits a del sol honda 1993

Anything that is OBD 1 or newer if you want it to be legal, here are the most common options and the basic requirements. 1. B16A2/3: Completely bolt-in Swap, VTEC needs to be wired, SIR II, Hasport shift linkage. Del Sol VTEC for the del sol 2. B18B: Completely bolt-in swap, SIR II, Hasport shift linkage. Del Sol VTEC for the del sol 3. B17A: Completely bolt-in swap, cable-hydro transmission kit(not recommended) or hydraulic b-series transmission, VTEC needs to be wired. 4. B18C1: Completely bolt-in swap, VTEC needs to be wired. 5. B18C5: Completely bolt-in swap, OBD conversion, VTEC needs to be wired. 6. B16B: Completely bolt-in swap, OBD conversion, VTEC needs to be wired. 7. H22A: Mount kit required, Hasport shift linkage, VTEC needs to be wired. 8. B16A: Not recommended! Too much work, more costly compared to B16A2/3's. 9. D16Z6: Completely bolt in, VTEC needs to be wired. 10. D16Y8: Completely bolt in, VTEC needs to be wired.
