After replacing both timing belts, oil seals,both sprockets, water pump,both timimg tensioners, crankshaft pulley of the mitsubishi pajero intercooler turbo 2.5 hp , engine model 4D56,year biuld 1992, engine is running but at 2ooo rpm or even at idle engine noise is not normal but it looks like having a srange noise ,its not un interupion but like a strange hum noise,. Do you have any suggestions on how to completely stop this noise? All settings where set correctly for timing as per marks on the sprockets. Many thanks , T Christofi , email ... [email protected]

...sir, i have the same problem with my adventure. i had it checked with different mechanics and they have all different diagnostics. i don't know who to believe. have you solved your problem yet? if so, can you tell me what was the real reason behind the vibration.

Remove any oil or water on the idler pulley and keep it clean.
If the old timing belt is being reinstalled, make sure the directional arrow is facing in the original direction and that the belt and crankshaft gear matchmarks are properly aligned.
On 2S-ELC engines, make sure that the Matchmark on the oil seal retainer and center hole of the small hole on the camshaft timing pulley are aligned.
