Unhooked batteries to reset, tow haul light went off, started driving and felt like it was not going into gear then tow haul started flashing and worked ok but was in tow haul mode and flashing. got home and went to back in and nothing at first finally was able to get backed up but something's not right do you know what might be the problem?
That light means that the shift points have changed on the transmission. This is to get better economy when hauling. If it wont stop flashing then there is a valve in the transmission that is bad or sticking. You will have to have it removed and overhauled..

The lever "pivot" has broken the wire leading up to the switch. Replace switch (I believe you must purchase the entire lever)

what you need to do first is find out what was the original problem. If you had bad batteries only,, then this should not of happened, But if you installed a defective alternator or did not disconnect the battery before replacing it you could of damaged something importtant if a short accured that did not pop the main fuse first. All the imputs for all functions come thru computers and only a proper diagnostic is going to find the problem. since you already stated you checked the obvious. Your going to need a diagnostic scanner to proceed.
