Lincoln ls year 2000 v8 3.9litres

THe ABS light and the traction control light will not go off, then the brakes lights come on..any reasons? I have 2002 LS V8 and have the same problem.  At first my ABS lights came on and then the Traction control light came on.  After a few days the parking brake has also come on.  I brought my car to the dealer and they said that the front ABS sensor is bad.  Awaiting for my car to get fixed.  I hope replacing the ABS sensor will cure this problem.

I took my 2004 Lincoln LS to Lincoln dealership for oil change. Was tol I needed Front brake replaced, brake and transmission flush. Paid to have all done. When I picked up car the ABS and Traction lights were on. The Lincoln Dealership says I need to replace left front speed sensor and the Inertia Switch for fuel system.
Everything worked BEFORE they performed the Front brake job. Could they have caused the problems when they replaced the front brakes?

ABS and traction control really are only for panic stops and if your tires slip on wet surface's and yes each tire has a sensor on it. However if the brake light comes on this has nothing to do with the ABS or traction control lights. It's not a parking brake light. This light tells you, you have a serious brake problem.

The traction control gets its information from the ABS system, so a faulty sensor reading will automatically shut down the traction control system.

It is common in this vehicle for the sensor to malfunction!

Brake system warning
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to the START
position. Also illuminates if the
parking brake is engaged. If the
brake warning lamp does not
illuminate at these times, seek service immediately. Illumination after
releasing the parking brake indicates low brake fluid level and the brake
system should be inspected immediately.
Anti-lock brake system (ABS)
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to the ON
position. If the light remains on,
continues to flash or fails to
illuminate, have the system serviced
immediately. With the ABS light on, the anti-lock brake system is
disabled and normal braking is still effective unless the brake warning
light also remains illuminated with the parking brake released.

SOURCE: 2002 LS: aHow do I fill radiator in my V8 Lincoln LS...

First- to drain ,you can reach the drain valve, from the pass side,if you lay on the ground and reach up to the radiator. You do not even have to raise the vehicle up
Second- mix Yellow GO5 Coolant about 50/50 or 60/40. Do not use Green in a Ford or Orange GM
To Fill- Remove the front two plastic screw type buttons, from the engine cover
-Remove the cover
The radiator cap is on the front of engine,on top,it is plastic
Remove cap and that is your fill point
Run engine to warm and get thermostat open,as you would with any vehicle
Top off coolant,replace cap
VERY IMPORTANT-next to the Power Brake Booster, and just under it,is a BLEEDER HOSE;to let air out of system. Turn screw slot ,only a little,DO NOT REMOVE SCREW. When coolant runs out close.
Fill-Degas Bottle,to full line,with coolant.
Check the next couple days on resevoir level ( Degas Bottle)

2004 LINCOLN LS TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT FLASHING & ABS LIGHT ON & BRAKE LIGHT ON. DTC CODES B1342, C1730, C1998.

first check brake fluid level then you will have to test the wheel speed sensors that the codes refer to. when there is a sensor problem it will activate both the abs and traction control lights. the red brake light comes on when there is low fluid condition(leak),worn brakes that need servicing. also if there is a abs module problem it can set codes. you need to know what the codes mean this is a starting place to diagnoise.

My 2002 Lincoln LS v6 Lost Engine Power,Traction Control Light was flashing & ABS light Came on! ANY IDEA?

Had the same problem with my 2002 Lincoln LS, it was a bad wheel speed sensor. The right front wheel bearing had some play in it, so I had the hub assembly replaced. The hub assembly comes with a new wheel speed sensor attached. After I replaced the hub assmbly with sensor, the ABS and Traction Control lights went off. No problem since!

Speedometer,mileage does'nt work,abs,traction,brake lights r on

no it does not; this is a massive short in the electrical system and, requires the services of an auto electrician like myself.
take the car in to an ASE certified auto electrical shop and, stop spending money on temporary fixes
the technicians can read the schematics and, fix your car right
