Too much gas. Maybe the fuel pressure regulator has failed. Pull off the vacuum hose to the regulator-if any evidence of gas in the vacuum line, regulator is bad-diaphragm has ruptured and letting in extra gas to engine through the vacuum line.
If that is good, no gas in vacuum line, have the fuel pressure checked. Still possible the regulator is not right.
Watch the pattern of gas out the bottom of injectors while the engine is cranked. Should see a fine mist cone pattern spraying out from the injectors. If it is just dripping, injectors may be clogged.

you have a single injector under the intake plenum it has 6 branching fuel leads off of this.A very common problem is the regulator attached to this and it leak off fuel which falls into the intake .causing this problem. it needs to be replaced .i have done at least 80 of these in my career.this will fix your problem.thanks for choosing fix ya

You have an over fueling problem. The first thing I'd do is check the fuel pressure and regulator if it has one. It isn't that uncommon for the regulator to have a split diaphragm. If this happens, fuel will be drawn directly out of the fuel rail and into the intake manifold. The reason I said: "if it has one", some cars use a direct system with no fpr. You'll have to look along the fuel rail for somthing that looks like the picture I've attached. Pull the vacuum line off it and see if there is fuel coming out of the nipple, if there is, the fpr is bad and you've found the problem. The misfire code is likely being caused by the over fueling but it would probably be a good idea to change the plugs once this is resolved. Let me know what you find and if that's not it I'll do some further checking.

SOURCE: 99 chevy silverado running rough and stalling.

the problem you are discribing would lead me to belive your fuel filter is clogged which is a simple fix 3 dollar part at any part store or on the worse hand your fuel pump itself could be weak you can open the gas tank cover and have another person turn the truck key to the on position without going far enough to start you will hear a faint whining noise if it is going bad or a louder noise if it is fine Good Luck

Black smoke means buring rich. Have the vehicle's ECU scanned for codes and do the repair the codes describe. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say Mass Air Flow Sensor.(MAF)

then i would replace whats called the hall effect sensor its that black plastic plate you see when you take dist cap off. just pull rotor and lift up the sensor.dist cap is what holds it on.also under the sensor will be a stamped sheet metal piece that looks like the top of a castle wall. make sure its not loose on the shaft.if it is then new dist will be needed

91 chevy cav z24 5 spd will not start @ times sounds like no fire other times sounds like no fuel.Replaced fuel pump, timing chain, crankshaft sensor, oil sensor, map sensor, body throttle accel sensor.st

Pull the air cleaner off and crank the engine. If puffs of air come come out of the throttle body when cranking the engine then the timing is not set correctly. Otherwise, after cranking pull a spark plug and see if it is wet with fuel and if so this indicates an ignition problem (coil, distributor/cap/rotor or faulty ECU).

Suburban 1993 2500 -454 / It runs rough on start up and then leans out and then the motor idles faster. It ran fine up until yesterday when my wife could not start it. Could it be a O2 sensor or fuel...

By "throttle body carb" I am assuming you to mean that the engine is equipped with Throttle Body Injection (TBI). The O2 sensors on that engine do not even start working for about 5 minutes. They are not going to cause a problem on start-up. A fuel filter will most likely not cause a problem on start-up or idle either. A fuel filter is most likely to cause problems on acceleration or when pulling a hill. A more likely cause would be a n Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. If one of these is reading too low, it will cause the engine to flood and smoke black out the exhaust - especially on start-up. (LIke a choke sticking on an old carbureted engine.) If your truck is equipped with a gauge, there may be 2 Coolant sensors. One for the gauge and one for the computer. If you replace it, make sure you are replacing the sensor for the computer.

My Chevy S10 '87 2.5 liter engine seems to shake and surge most times and I have sensed it is choking very slightly as I drive. What can I do to adjust the choke. This maybe a Throttle Body Injection...

Check ALL vacuum hoses as your truck is getting older and rubber components may be breaking down.ALL sensors need good connections, electrical and where needed, vacuum to send correct data to the computer.
Has the throttle body been cleaned lately?
Don't overlook regular maintenance,plugs,wires etc.

1990 chevy blazer 350 ci throttle body fuel injected . the motor is flooding out u can see the injectors keep dumping fuel into the throttle body

Sounds like you have an injector leaking. Have someone just cycle the key on and off to run the fuel pump but don't crank the engine. If you see fuel dripping from the injectors, unbolt the injector cover on the throttle body, remove the injectors and replace the orings around the injectors.

1986 suburban k20 454 ok took out fuel filter replaced with new and had trouble tightnign bolts back in then it leaked ok tighted it until it didnt leak then it started running rough whats the problem

Is this carb?Or throttle body injected? If it is carb, then the fuel filter may be in backwards, the hole in the filter points outward toward the fuel line, you most likely crushed the filter.
