Air in the system, bad circulation is the most likely cause possible combined with a faulty thermostat. Just $14 for a good thermostat so swap it out.

My 2008 Saturn Vue ABS and TCS lights suddenly came on. Is there a sensor connected to this problem?
Yes. Wheel speed sensor. I have an 08 Vue. Same problem happens every year. They say its a corroded wheel speed sensor. Happens every January, always on the left rear. Think they have a design flaw, but GM doesn't appear to agree with me.
