Top of engine, it will be in a large housing, its a cartrige type. Look around for it, here is what your going to look for, (its not hard to find once you see what your looking for)

it is undewr the car next to the engine oil sump plug to the right about 10cm
SOURCE: location of fuel filter in 95 audi 90
There is 2 locations for that car.
#1 under hood passenger side, front side of shock tower,with fuel line connected to it.
#2 under car driver side, below seating area,front of fuel tank mounted on chassis. If you have the 90 Qauttro,it's under hood,pass. side, front side of strut tower, mounted on fender well.

the oil filter is on the back passanger side just below the turbo the pipes from the oil cooler run into the filter housing

The oil filter is at the passenger side underneath the air filter.
