Unable to communicat to the OBD2 for a 1999 Nissan Altima

Check Engine light is on, when connected to the OBD2 to read the error there is no connection. For some reason unable to communicate. And so, a communication error is shown. Im trying to pass the E-check but the engine light is on, and there is a communication link error. When i did the alternate test there was to much NOx being emitted, and so I dont know where to start.

check for blown fuses, most times the problem is no 12 volts to the test connector.

Up to 99 or 2000 model maxima's arent OBD II. There is a OBD I connector located behind the fuse box cover inside the car. It is a grey connector.

My 2006 Nissan Altima while driving misfires and check engine light time zone what could be the problem

You need to connect it to a Code Reader / Scan Tool. It will give you a code and the code will tell you what the problem is. The more expensive computer scanners will diagnose every module in the vehicle. Garages will read the code for free in the hope of getting the work. It takes 2 minutes.

My 2005 nissan altima check engine light flashes 4-5 times then goes off for about 5-7mins then stays on why is this light doing this ...?

You need to go to a parts house and have them read the codes. Most do this at no charge. A blinking service engine light indicates that a problem exists that can cause engine damage. For example, if a spark plug is miss firing it could damage the catalytic converter. The steady light indicates that a code has been recorded.

2002 nissan altima started shaking and check engine light came on

Blinking means that the problem is so bad that it can damage the engine if you drive it. You need to get a code reader from an autoparts store and read the codes to see what the issue is.

Check engine light on my 2001 nissan altima it has 58000 miles on it.

Could be for a number of reasons. You need to get it scanned to see what the code is. Some auto parts stores will do this for free, but won't give you much information. Get the error code, and go from there, as it could be a simple issue.

2004 Nissan Altima 2.5liter (125k miles). The check engine light came on

The check engine light comes ON. This light comes because there is any error code saved in cars computer. In this case the car needs to be scanned. You can get your car scanned at car diagnostic center like www.autozone.com or at your local car garage. Once the car is scanned the error code will be detected so as per that you can get the part replaced. At autozone service center it's absolutely free to get car scanned. Because the engine light is on, it's advisable to get car scanned.

I have a 2006 Nissan Altima with 72,000 miles. I have had regular service on the car, and the service engine light just came on. Any idea what it might be?

You need to get a scanner hooked up to read what error code you have, as there are hundreds, and go from there.

OBD CONNECTION 2000 NISSAN FRONTIER

if the scanner will not communicate with the ECm, First check all the fuses under the hood. If all is well, make sure you have the key on and not off or running. If all is good there then the computer for the car has taken a vacation on you and will need to be taken to the dealership for repair/re-programming.
