I hot wired one of the red wires to the casing and it fired right up. As anyone had this problem before or have a suggestion on where I should look. Is there anyway possible I could do the hot or straight wire it with out it shorty out or causing another problem. Please help I don't have the money to fix things that is not broke.

You need to be more clear about what you did. Red wire to the casing? Is the radio and all of that ok now? The more detailed info the better help you can get.

SOURCE: Hot wire to radiator fan is burning

most likely if that is happening it depends on where the wire is burning. Yes it is grounding somewhere so if it is burning right before the fan than most likely the motor went on fan. For instance if you know the side that is getting the power and say 2 foot away is where it is burning start from there and work you way toward the fan and see if anything could cause the grounding. If not then i would lean toward replacing the motor. Best instance of this is to disconnect the fan connector and knowing what temp your fan usually kicks on take note of. Now let engine idle until it goes past this temp by 10 - 15 degrees and see if wire shorts out if not then its the motor. Turn off motor immediatley and reconnect fan.

SOURCE: I have a 1985 Cheverolet

Sir,
It's probably the brake lights that are staying on, check again, if the brake lights are staying on the brake light switch needs to be replaced. The reason I believe it's the brake lights is that they will turn on even with the key off so make sure which lights are staying on.

The radio and power windows do not work when I start truck. Sometimes if you hit a bumb or hit dash above radio all starts working

as going over a bump etc can make the components work ther eis obviously a loose connection , have you had any work done to vehicle in the dash area ,electrical or otherwise ? if not this will probably be a time consuming fix as will have to trace wiring from window switch back to dash and radio as well they probably have a common connector in there somewhere keep me posted if you wish

Dash lights and radio lights sometimes work or flicker when hit a bump. Any ideas?

Might be a loose battery cable. Just a thought. did see other post where you stated that you've disconnected battery several times. Hope you find/found a solution.

Radio volume changes when hitting bumps.

weird one this ,i would go for the earth wire on the back of the dash ,and run a seperate one ,or take it back to where you bought it and ask nicely if the vehicle is under warrenty first then hit them with the problem

Flickering dash and radio lights?

loose connection.... i'd start with the alternator to make sure all the wires are secure... then the main connection to the fuse box in the engine compartment near the battery

91 Dodge ram 50 ignition problem, rough idle in drive, dies when braking

my ram 50 starts just like any other vehicle, (no light switch pulling whatso ever), it sounds like somebody haas rewired something wrong or you have a loose connection and when you hit a large enough bump it cuts your power. Start it up and find a speed bump somewhere and drive over it enough to give your truck a jolt and see if it dies.
