Windshield wiper stopped working, how do it fix the motor?
SOURCE: 2001 Audi A4 Windshield Wiper Issues....Work on their own
The most likely cause of your symptoms is the wiper motor parking relay has become faulty, however there is a slim possibility the connections within your wiper switch could be an issue, but the relay would be my first and cheepest line of enquiry. Contact your local VAG dealer and expect to pay somewhere in the region of £15. Good luck

Remove the tires, Remove the calaper bolts, (small heads on them 12mm or so) Remove calaper, Pads are setting in a holder. Lube new pads with litheum grease and place in holder. (look at old pads, one or both may have small metel tab on one end) If the new pads have the tab, put that pad where the old pad with the tab was. (ie. tab to the inside) Press pistion in with a 'C' clamp. If it won't go in easly, it may screw in. If the parking brake cable is hooked to the calaper, it probly screws in. Use large pliers to screw in calaper piston. Place calaper over pads and install bolts (lube bolts) Rember to pump brakes befor driving . to get a solid peddle.
SOURCE: how to remove audi a6 wiper blades
The problem with this wiper blade set up is the slides get jammed up w/ crude. You should lubricate the slides and they should slide off. Then carfully lift the arm and remove the blade. Warning you should never leave the arm in the upright position. Windshields get cracked this way. Also note the pivit points the blades attach too. These will normally sieze up and cause clearing issues even with new blades. Lubricate these pivit points and use a pair of channel locks to move it back and forth until it will go 360 degrees with your fingers. Install is in reverse order of removal.

I've been having this problem also. I took it to the dealer and they had to load a new update for the mmi system. Luckily mine is covered under warranty.
The other solution is to turn the car off and disconect the car battery for 10 minutes-and then the mmi will reset itself. The problem, however, is that the issue will probably happen again.
SOURCE: The thermostat in 2000 audi A6 is bad. How to fix ?
Hi,
The thermostat is located in a housing, mounted on your engine with the top radiator hose attached. It is relatively easy to replace.
Be sure to put the new thermostat in the correct direction (notice direction of old one before taking it out). Also, be sure to clean the old gasket from the housing and be careful not to break the housing... many are cast aluminum and overtightening a bolt can easily create a headache. :o)
Hope this helps... Good luck!
