To change the fluid in the transfer case you must go under neath the vehicle ,on the side of the transfer case you will see a nut on the side ...that's is where you fill it ...on the bottom or some times on the side you will see another nut to empty it ...I recommend putting transfer case oil synthetic ....if you ever go through a lot of water while 4 wheeling,i recommend changing the fluid in your transfer case as soon as you can ...also check your rear end to see if there is water in it....to resovle problem ...add a longer hose ,so it will not take on any water ,hope this was help full

Grand vitara transmission

There is nothing you can do about it now, if the transmission is damaged or the fluid is dark and smells burnt you have big problems coming up in the near future.

2001 Suzuki vitara clutch pedal went to the floor and wont come back up. It's like its stuck in perpetual neutral. Slave gear? Where is it.

Check the fluid level on the clutch master in the engine compartment. The clutch slave is located down on the bottom by your transmission.

Hi I have a 1993 Suzuki vitara with a automatic gear box, and when it is cold it will not go into over drive until it is warm can you tell me what the problem is

Maybe try to have the transmission fluid flushed and filled at your local auto service shop to try to rectify the problem for about $100 or so.

If this doesn't solve the problem, the transmission will have to be rebuilt.

Transmission fluid change vitara

hi first check the level of fluid by pulling the dip stick out . clean it and put back in to c if anything left in it or not.

if no oil is left open the engine cap and buy the right fluid and put in it and than check the oil level by parking your car on level surface.

if u want to replcae the engine oil just open the bolt underneath the engine and drain the oil and close it before u feed in the oil.

Where is the filler cap for the transmission on a suzuki vitara v6 automatic ?

You add A/T transmission fluid at the same place you check it.
Same place you check the A/T fluid level. You add fluid at the same location.

4WD not working properly

this is most commonly caused by the motor on the transfer case that engages the 4X4 either sticking or defective, sticking can be caused by dirty fluid, have u ever serviced the fluid in the transfer case, it should be done around 30,000 miles if u use the 4X4 allot.

They dont have a dip stick but do have a bolt that is removed Diff/transfer case and gearbox the bolt you take out is at the height/level that the fluid should be at and its where you fill the diff/gearbox.Its in the side of the gearbox about half way up.

Change fluid in transfer case

On the backside of the transfer case,as it sits in the vehicle. The plugs will be facing the rear differential. The one down low is the drain, while the top one is fill,of course. The fluid recommended is automatic transmission fluid,Dexron, and the transfer case is full when the fluid is at the bottom of the fill hole.
