My car won't blow warm air until it's moving. Engine light is on. Had the car tested and was told temperature sensor/ fuel mixture.

COLD AIR WHEN IDLING COULD BE...
1) Low on coolant - the most common reason for this heater problem. Make sure your coolant level is full.
If the level is low, it could be because the radiator cap is not sealing well or it could also be a cracked overflow container (hot coolant that bleeds out of the engine and drops to the street so you never see the puddle on your driveway).
2) An air-lock in the coolant system - it needs to be burped. Park your car facing-up the steepest hill you can find. Remove the radiator cap a (be careful - best to do when engine is cold) and rev engine to 2000 RPM for 60 seconds - hopefully the air will burp out the cap. Top it off with 50/50 antifreeze.
3) A disconnected or cracked vacuum line. I've heard about this one but never investigated.

go to a tool store and ask for an easy-out, this is a specialty tool placed on a drill to grip stripped screws and broken bolts
SOURCE: check engine light air Fuel mixture
When it comes on again let a regular shop scan it for you with a good scanner so they can see whats going on. a generic code reader wont do it. if it is stored in memory they can still check it. if the truck runs good idles fine just watch out for anything out of the norm , what about air filter and fuel filter have they been changed ? tune up ? air filters should be changed every 2 to 3 oil changes and fuel filter every 30k depending on fuel quality there. and tune up at 60 to 70 k even though they probaly said 100k.

plus one on the cooling fan problem. if it was low on charge then as you slow down, condensor temps and line prressures would raise therefore it would cool at low speed and and not when moving since the incoming air would drop system temp, reducing line pressure and then cusing compressor to cycle. the auxillary cooling fans must be on whenever a/c is on, if not, thats your problem. get this taken care of because if you get stuck in traffic, your engine will overheat also if fans are not running
