I replaced the in tank fuel pump on my 1990 chevy k1500 but now it wont start. when i turn the key to on the pump runs about 3 secs then shuts off, but its not on long enough to prime the lines(in fact if i unhook the rubber supply lines at the tank fuel wont even come out of there when the key is on) is there some kind of special way to prime these pumps or should i start looking at other stuff like relays and wiring? i also tested the new pump by straight wiring it and sticking it in a bucket of gas and after about 5 secs it started gushing gas out. so i know the pump works. any help is appreciated. thanks
