P1684 usually means that the battery has been disconnected, or an electrical short.
P1601 is a transmission code

P1684 means the battery was disconnected in last 50 engine start/stop cycles, did you disconnect the battery?
P0135 indicates the heater circuit of the before catalyst O2 sensor has failed.

P 1684 P 700 P 160 all these codes keep coming up

1684 Battery has been disconnected within the past 50 starts.
P700 EATX Controller DTX present
P160 Neither rich or lean is sensed at the O2 sensor.

When i checked the engine light code, P 1684 came

Battery disconnected within last 50 starts. Will go away eventually. That code by itself though should NOT illuminate the Check Engine Light. If that is on, you likely have another code besides P1684

2002 sebring now only code popping up is 1684 before codes came up for camshaft and crankshaft sensors. changed those out. still cuts off while running, can't make it anywhere to be checked. have tried...

Hi, 1684 merely means that the battery was disconnected within the last 50 start cycles.

If it stays on and that is the only code, then try disconnecting the battery and touching the ends of the cables together (not connected to battery!). Sometimes that confuses an overly sensitive electrical system into submission. (Not often, but it's cheap and worth a try. It's good maintainence anyway.)

If the check engine light is on, there's something else going on. You will have to take the car to Auto zone to have it scanned, a code will be retrieved and interpreted to know what the problem is....

I'm looking for the engine codes for a dodge intrepid codes are 1391 - 0134 - 1684.... I am trying to replace the oxygen sensors...how do you know which ones to replace?

1391 is a timing code cam or crank sensor
0134 bank 1 sensor 1 usually left front but double check
1684 doesn't match anything i know

Check engine light on

P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction, this is a transmission or PCM issue and needs further diagnosis with other test gear.

The P1684 code simply means that the battery has been disconneted within the last 50 engine starts.

from what i have researched the 1684 is a common code that these vehicles give out..i even got one when i checked mine and i had never disconnected the battery before..so i wouldn't pay to much attention to that one...now the other code is a different story

Battery's been disconnected or ran down to nothing within last 50 starts. Nothing to panic about. will go away, or stop at autozone & ask them to erase code, usually for free.

1684 is 'battery disconnected in last 50 starts' and should shut off after you have used it for 50 more.

P1684 means the battery has been disconnected from the TCM(transmission control module)
Possible causes:

low battery voltage
malfunctioning charging system
open fused battery circuit to TCM
Open TCM ground circuit
TCM is disconnected

Autozone or Advance Auto Parts can do a battery and charging system check for FREE. If both are ok, then it will need testing for a open or short in TCM wiring harness or connectors.

P0455 a large leak has been detected in the evaporation system.
Possible causes:

Malfunction in the EVAP system has occurred.
The gas cap is loose or the tank was refuelled without turning the ignition off while the EVAP self-test was running. Check to make sure gas cap is sealing tight, otherwise it will need to go to a shop to have a smoke machine hooked up and test for location of evaporative leak.
