For starters, don't let ANYONE touch your XLR, that isn't an 'XLR CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN' (yes, they exist)! Don't even allow a regular service tech at a Cadillac dealership to work on it, unless you already have a trusted one. Call around to dealerships in your area. Some have them and some don't. You can also call around to private luxury shops, as they may have a XLR Certified Tech. Read the link I attached to this post.

I went through an absolute nightmare with 07 XLR top. After spending over $2k at the dealership with mis-diagnosis after mis-diagnosis (hydraulic pump, sensors, etc), I finally found a Certified XLR Tech... Only $200 later, he told me it was just an overdue & well needed computer update!
