SOURCE: engine timing mark diagram

timing on all camshaft im familiar with have a dot stamped on the gear and one on the adjacent gear it meshes with, the trick is to get the two dots to line up with each other for proper timing.
the camshaft runs 2:1 to the crankshaft, so if it wont run, that means your 180 degrees off. line everything back up the dots that is, take the belt off and rotate the cam 360 until the dots are in line again and reinstall the belt.
should fix you up.
hope this helps, good luck

It limits the Max. RPM your engine can rev to in neutral so that engine damage is prevented. It is normally incorporated in the ECM / ECU unit.

I need a daigram of timing marks for v6 3.0 3VZ-E VZN

Here you are in "Office Supplies". But I recognize the V6 engine in a Toyota!

See here p45 and 51. The upper marks are the same in the 1MZ and 3VZ engines, and the dot mark on the 3VZ crankshaft sprocket is towards the bottom side, which is unclear in this diagram. Check there is the same number of teeth on the new and old belt.
