Put in a new clutch and now it wont shift into 3rd 4th or 5th gear
In the installation of a new clutch in most instances it is necessary to remove the gear lever from inside the vehicle . Check that you have the end of the gear lever actually situated in the groove that lines up all the shift rails as you may have placed the end outside the groove and can move only one rail. You have given no indication of a clutch problem at this stage so I am sure that is where the problem will be.

Hi El Faraon,
I believe that you're dealing with 12 mm bolts and nuts....THESE ARE NOT THE SPECS FOR YOUR ENGINE, but I believe that if you use them you'll be close....Tighten in three stages up to 22nm....choose the bolts from the centre of the manifold and circle outwards until you reach the last one.....It may be a good idea to draw an overhead or plan view of the unit, marking out the bolt positions.....Start at the centre and mark the sequence and follow that....What is important is starting at the centre, so that nothing becomes warped....
Hope this helps,

What do you mean by loud... Loud where??? If noise is from engine, make sure that the mechanical fan clutch is not "locked" (it's supposed to freewheel when cold... if it does not, it will "roar" when driving.

Check the simple things first like your clutch master cylinder fluid level and slave cylinder operation transmission shifter bushings. If it is hard to get the car moving the clutch could be slipping also check your transmission and engine mounts.

I am dealing with a very similar issue on my 03 Spec V , So far i noticed the clevis pin was loose and the locking hitch pin that slips thru it had fallen out . this caused the gears to not wanna engage due to the bolt behind the clevis which runs to the master cylinder was not getting pressed in when i pushed the clutch pedal in because the clevis pin was slippin on n off giving me no pressure up top .. I had to remove my lower dash panel in order to get visual n hand access to this pin , it is a tight spot to work in as well . May be easist to remove the 4 14mm bolts that hold yur driver seat in to give ya more room to work n stretch out ur arms
