My land rover discovery series one had a radiator leak, which caused moisture to get into the starter relay I think, where is the relay? and why is it starting itself if its not the relay?
The relay is on the starter itself, its the smaller round object that actully has the wires from the battery run to it. Sometimes they will stick connected, causing it to start as soon as you turn on the key. If you have had the wires off, you may have put the main hot wire on the wrong side of the relay.

You can energise the interlock solenoid, by you give a positive (+12V) lead to the RED and a negative (ground) to the black line at the transmission selector's connector.
If it works you should check the positive signal at the red.
It should be there if the ignition is on, brake pedal depressed, and the transfer box is in some gear, and the fuse 1 isn't blown.
At the black cable should be a ground signal if the selector in 'P' position.
If you give me an e-mail address I'll send the wiring.
The ABS problem, you have better to check followings.
- All the wheels bearings' play.
- are the ABS sensors at the deepst position? Knock some to that head (not strong) and they shouldn't move deeper.

The fuel pump must run constantly while the engine is running. There is a return for excess fuel back to the tank.

Maybe,
Terminals are old POS that no longer conduct. Hit your local auto parts store and buy some new Terminals. Get something that Is a strong Conductor. I suggest Brass. Also Its Important to get the right size Terminal. I would also put money on your Main Power Wires being real heavy gage that will not fit into a generic Terminal. So make sure you get a terminal your gage of wire will easily fit into to avoid head ache and the hacking of your nice heavy gage Into lets say Civic gage to fit a too small terminal which mind your will work However you will have less power weaker connections ultimately Find your self with a car that will not start. It does not hurt to also sand any white crude or rust that would further interupt your new connection, Complete that and she be ready to fire up and hand you your next task.
Good Luck,
