HVAC climate contol , Heat an A/C blower motor not working ! The blower motor works for both heat an A/C . Manual or automatic climate control ? Blower motor is bad or blower motor control module is . videos on youtube on testing blower motor electrical circuits .
Check to see if the blower works with the heater on. Turn the control to heat and see if the fan works. First check the fuse for the blower. If the fuse is good and the blower does not work with heat on , the blower may be bad or the speed resistor maybe bad.
there is a blower relay circuit board located right by the blower motor which sounds like your problem to me i've worked on several that had the same type problem and thats what it was. the two blower motor wires will plug into it and there are two screws that hold it on
under the passenger side of the dash right above the passengers feet. With the key on and the blower set to high tap the end of the blower motor with a screwdriver. If it starts to work replace it.
Well, you're not going to get a lot of heat if the blower is not working. Check all the blower speeds to see if any work. Check the fuse for the heater blower. Next trace through the heater blower switch to see if you get power to the blower.
Most likely problems (after fuse) are bad blower motor and/or heater resistors.
Check the blower motor resitor. Use a 12v test light at the switch and notice the bulb brightness change as you switch settings.. Probably have a bad blower resiter.
Was the blower making strange noises before it quit? If not, does the blower work at all? perhaps only on one speed? If it only works on one speed, look for the resistor that goes with the blower motor. I assume it will be near the blower itself, but can't tell you where. An auto parts store can probably tell you. If the blower was noisy and suddenly quit, you will likely need to replace the blower motor.
