check all ignition feed power circuits.get the manual that come with your truck in the glove compartment. it will tell you what fuse that is.because it has every fuse and relay in your truck.

remove the spark plug wires and use a blow gun to dry the spark plug tubes of any water that may have gotten in, the blinking engine light means there is a missfire. and check those fuses with the headlights on and see if they have power.

it sounds like when the cat was changed they have trapped a wire or just moved one over a bit and its rubbing think about what items this 30amp fuse is protecting are any of the items close to the exhaust or around that area, i dont see the aftermarket starter doing this after 2 years hope this is helpful regards JR

That leaves only a couple things that may be the problem.
1 the break switch could have a short in it, or going bad. it is located on the break pedal its self, get on the floor and push it in and you can hear it click, some times they go bad.
2 the other is bad ground or a positiave ground, meaning a wire is loose on the ground side, or there is a bare wire on teh positiave side touching the metal.
3 if the connections on the light sockets thereselves, it will cause the same thing.
bottol line is your dealling with a short of some kind, and some times they can be a bear to find,
Good luck and i hope this helps a bit

I had a prolem like this one time a while back. what i did was got the wiring diagram and checked everything that was running through that 30 amp fuse. on the one i was working on it ended up being an injector wire pinched under the valve cover and it didnt short out till the car was driven til it warmed up and expanded after the valve cover gasket was changed. hope this helps!

Which engine ?
Could not find a TSB on this . Have you tested the pressure switch/es as they show to draw through the 7 amp fuse .
