2006 Hyundai Sonata 3.3 engine - cabin filter replacement

Not sure if this car has a cabin filter, my old '02 Sonata did have one, but it was well hidden. It required removing glove box, then searching for it. Need general tips on how to find and replace the filter on the '06

It should be the same general procedure as the 02. Open Glove box and remove contents. Remove glove box stops and or glove box shock on side. With the glove box swung out of the way remove the panel that covers the air filter. Remove and replace filter. Reinstall cover, and glove box stops.

Where is the oil filter on 2006 hyundai sonata 3.3 l dohc

It uses a filter element and cap, not a cartridge. Look for a black plastic dome on top of the engine, between the cylinder heads. There are a couple of o-rings to be very watchful for as well, so they do not become lost! There are (or were) two different filter elements available, so make sure to obtain the correct one.

Where is the air cabin filter for a hyundai sonata

Out under the wipers, you have a plastic cover across at the windshield and under the wipers. Plastic tabs hold it in place.

Need to replace cabin airfilter

if it's simialr to my mazda...there's a push-in clip and a retractable cord that support the glove box. Detach the cord and push in the clip and it should drop down and slide out.
The filter should be behind a clip-on compartment door.

Need to install cabin air filter

If it's anything like my 2005 Tucson all you have to do is open glove box and find the elastic cord that comes from behind glovebox and runs through a hole in the side. Release this cord (just let it go, it won't go anywhere). Drop the glovebox down and you'll see where to replace the filter. There are 2 black clips a little ways in on either side, you have to pinch these and pull on them at the same time. The filter will pull out, replace it, slide back in, then rehook the elastic cord and close glovebox. Done!!!

It is optional accessory, if it has one it will located be where the air is pulled in at the base of the windshield.
