A slightly better set of instructions might help you. Mine is a 2003 Accent. You have to remove the access panel that covers the lamps and the wiper control. Remove the phillips screws along the bottom of the panel (closest to the floor of the trunk when the lid is closed). Then remove the two screws that hold the brackets onto which the two strings are linked which are used to raise the rear deck slightly when the trunk opens. Next, there is a small cover underneath the rear wiper (about 2 inches square) that you need to carefully pry off using a small flat head screw driver via the indents on the lower side of the plastic cover. Inside you will find a 10mm bolt; use a ratchet to remove the bolt. Next, using a small flat head screw driver, carefully pry the middle section of moulding between the panel you are removing and the molding that covers the top portion of the back glass. There are two clips at the base of each middle moulding piece closest to the panel you are removing. Once those pop free, grab the panel at the bottom and firmly but gently pull away from the car body to pop free the two retaining clips holding the moulding to the car body. Finally, use one hand to grasp the panel from the bottom and the other to help help slide the panel "up" towards the glass (top of the car). The panel's top is flanged, and must slide up and away from the lip on which it sits. With the panel removed, grasp the white socket that holds the bulb and with gentle pressure turn it counter clockwise about 40 degrees and then pull the socket out. The replacement bulb is a type 168. Reverse these instructions to assemble, making sure in the end to push all retaining clips back into place until you hear them "catch" and hold the panel firm;y against the car body so that you do not get vibration noise.

SOURCE: 2003 hyundai elantra gls front wheel stud broke

grab a large punch and hammer and knock out the old broken one. Push the new one in and re tighten. This will pull it into place and because it has splines it should not spin while doing so.

How can I replace the front wheel studs on a Hyundai sonata 2003?

hi if you look at the new stids you are going to fit? you will see they are splined on the inner side so with wheel off you tap the old stud/s backwards from the hub then fit new stud/s from the rear ensuring located on splines then you can draw fully home into hub using w/nut or another nut same thread ? if your cars nuts are not open ended ?

I want to chang the rear brake ! so how do i get to the brake or what do i need to get the dum off !

Remove the rear wheel. Check the studs to see if it has any retaining rings on them. If they do, pry them off with a small screwdriver.
Now take a hammer and bang the drum to loosen it off the axel flange and pull the drum off.

How do i replace the front wheel studs on my hyundai accent

Hyundai in all their wisdom decided to use captive dust shields on the disc brakes. You need to completely disassemble the hub to get the shield off. On my 2008 Accent there is one spot that if you rotate the rotor to that spot and bend the shield back you can then get the stud in place. Be sure to get the right stud as the rear and front are probably different part numbers.

To get the old out use a hammer and a punch to pound them out the back. To get a new one in push it in as far as you can, then using something as a spacer (large nut or washers) and the wheel lug, tighten the stud up drawing it into the rotor.
