Ford f150 shifter

I suppose you've checked the fluid level while hot and idling? Could be a bad solenoid pack. Have Ford run the codes if it's not low tranny fluid. don-ohio (:^)

Norman, The ABS light is telling you there is a fault in the Anti Lock Braking system, could be faulty wire/plug,sensor, leaking/stuck wheel cylinder/caliper, etc. The computer in your vehicle will have to be scanned to find the fault, diagnosed and estimate repair. First is turn the steering wheel a little when trying to get it out of park. All Fords do it. The wheel is cocked a little and won't release the Shifter. Second, check to see if you have brake lights. No lights , the switch is bad, replace it, it controls the release.. Third would be the switch in the column. I have not yet had to replace one of these.

check trans. fluid level per owners manual.The high operating temperatures cause fluid to expand greatly,an over-filled transmission can actually force excess fluid out of the dip stick tube.check level with trans. hot,engine running in park on a level surface. After driving,place shifter in park,hold brake and move shifter through all gears and back to park.remove dipstick,wipe clean,re-insert and check fluid level.normally,trans fluid & filter should be changed +/- 100 k miles

could be a selector failure. easiest to check first or internall drama with torqu converter ,one way clutch or other. these will require r@r n overhaul

Take it back to the rebuilder, it should still be under warranty. But first, check the fluid level. Have it on flat ground, engine running and transmission warm.

Check to see is your brake lights are coming on when you press the pedal if they do not come on your brake light switch is bad or the fuse for the brake lights is blown

You need to check the connection on the front of the master cylinder. This is the brake disengage for the cruise control. If it is wet this is the problem of the short. You need to replace the unit. This was a recall by ford. Now check the #15 fuse (5a) this controls the brake interlock switch. When you put the fuse in you will hear a click. This means you can now take the truck out of park. The lights will come on and the windows will work. If the windows don't work check the other fuses. By pulling them and replacing them made the windows work for me.
