Water leak check:
1. Plenum chamber leaks at loom exits (Accident damage or corrosion)
2. Water leak at air con fan inlet (Accident damage or gasket wear)
3. Water leaking from air con heater pipe (corroded water pipe to/from heat exchanger)
No. There's a myriad of possibilities. There's either a leak. Faulty radiator or coolant tank cap. leaking water pump. Damaged head gasket. Air lock. etc...
IF YOU GOT TOO MUCH WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM AND DONT HAVE 50 / 50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER. WATER WILL EVAPORATE BOIL AWAY.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS LOOK AT TOP AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSES LEAKS, CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS AROUND BOTH RADIATOR CONTAINER AND RADIATOR CORES LEAKING. CHECK WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE. IF LEAKING WATER NEED REPLACING, CHECK ENGINE CRANKCASE ANTIFREEZE WILL LEAK IN CRANK CASE OR LEAK IN THE INTAKE GASKET COOLANT WILL BURN WITH FUEL.MANY THINGS WILL CAUSE COOLANT LOST.
well first i would check all the water hoses in the engine compartment for cracks and leaks then check around the radiater for leaks if you don't see any water leaking from the hoses or the radiater then try to see if you see water coming from the water pump behind the cooling fan if the water is leaking from behind the cooling fan then it is most likely your water pump
If you are sure the water isn't leaking somewhere - run the car stationary and look for spots on the floor - then is lost thru evaporation. Look at the caps of the radiator and the state of the expansion bowl.
this is most likely the water pump if it is leaking at front of engine, the water pump is under the large timing belt cover and driven by the timing belt, so both are changed at the same time.
can you see water leaking out of the engine or you find evidence of water on the engine?
if the latter you may have a leak in your water cooling system somwhere and the steam is rising in the engine compartment and cooling on the hood turning back to water and landing on the engine this giving the impression that there is a leak there. or it may be just humidity doing the same thing and you do not have any leak.
look for spots of water on the ground and note if your radiator is getting low. (water on the ground may be moisure from your AC this is normal )
also suspect a leak in your windshied washer these are situated in the hood so when they operate if they leak they leak straight down onto the engine. check their pipes for any leaks.
