SOURCE: vw jetta 2007 bkd engine whatare cylinder head

I had a quick look online for these specs. according to several sites I visited, these are the correct specs.. Have fun.. 1.8L Turbo

  • Volkswagon's 1.8-liter Turbo engine has 10 head bolts arranged in pairs across the engine. The bolts should first be pre-tightened to a specification of 40 Newton Meters (Nm), starting with the middle two bolts and proceeding in sequence out towards either the left or right end of the engine. The bolts should then be tightened again in the same sequential order by making a one-quarter turn of the wrench, and then tightened once again with another one-quarter turn.
  • 2.8L V6
  • There are 20 head bolts arranged in three lines across Volkswagon's 2.8-liter V6 engine. The bolts should first be pre-tightened in sequence to a specification of 50 Newton Meters (N-m), starting with the first bolt that is situated in the center of the engine block between cylinders 3 and 4. Proceed tightening the bolts in sequence out towards either the left or right end of the engine. The bolts should then be tightened again in the same sequential order by making a one-quarter turn of the wrench, and then tightened once again with another one-quarter turn.
  • 2.0L L4
  • Volkswagon's 2.0-liter L4 engine has 10 bolts that are arranged in pairs across the engine. The bolts should first be pre-tightened in sequence to a specification of 40 Newton Meters (N-m), starting with the middle two bolts and proceeding in sequence out towards either left or right end of the engine. The bolts should then be tightened again in the same sequential order by making a one-quarter turn using a box wrench, and then tightened again with another one-quarter turn.

    2006 jetta tdi oil change

Consult the Owner's Manual, or view the oil specifications on the fill cal or dipstick (usually the fill cap) located under the hood. Depending upon mileage you may not want to vary from manufacture specifications, or risk voiding your vehicle's warranty should any remain. The VW TDI's are typically high maintenance engines. I would strongly recommend staying with the manufacture's oil specifications, and do not overfill the oil in your vehicle.

2000 VW jetta; what is the torque for valve cover and plenum

I briefly looked online and did not see any info direct6ly relating to the torque spec of the cover bolts. I would guess around 15 ft lbs.--not too much--the head is aluminium--best way to go is to walk up to the service counter of the VW dealer and ask him to provide that information. You have the car and they built it!
