Check engine light was on yesterday, off today

2005 Ford Focus. Check Engine light was on yesterday on the way to work and on the way home. Today, it didn't come on. Didn't notice any other symptoms. Should I take it in? Can anything be checked if the light's not on?

Ford's can store info in the computer for a while . you can take it in to a shop and have them put a code reader on the port under the dash and tell you what happened... Sometimes these codes are just a one-time event and they will clear themselves... But a reputable shop will tell you the code and if it's a worry or not. Let me know.

Fuel pump 2005 nissan altima

Take it back to where you had it serviced. They probably simply missed connecting the fuel level sensor. The engine light is probably from a missed emissions hose that goes to the gas tank.

Ford Focus Engine Light

Start by getting either a mechanic or someone with an OBDII scanner to read the code so you know where to start. Lots of time a loose gas cap will cause a "Evap system small leak" code which illuminates the check engine light for a while. Other than that I can't help you much without knowing what code comes up.
